Principal - Ecology

Kayla is a Principal Ecologist with eight years’ experience in ecological assessment and management. She has experience in a range of industry sectors including private developments, complex infrastructure projects, large scale environmental assessments and approvals.
She is skilled in flora and fauna identification and environmental impact assessments, including the application of the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM). Kayla is an accredited BAM assessor under the NSW BC Act.
Her technical experience spans across multiple sectors and involves the delivery of highly constrained and strategically complex projects.
Kayla is an experienced fauna ecologist, who also specialises in mammals with an interest in microbats, including trapping techniques, roost and habitat inspections, dusk surveys, Microbat Management Plans, and analysis of ultrasonic bat calls (i.e., using manual and automated software).
