Niche joins Clean Energy Council and surpasses 240 energy transition projects

Niche, a leading natural capital, biodiversity, and heritage consultancy, continues to play a key role in supporting Australia’s clean energy transition, announcing today the company has delivered 240 projects in support of the energy transition and joined the Clean Energy Council.

Niche has contributed biodiversity, ecology and heritage expertise to a range of across eastern Australia. Typical projects where Niche’s specialist capability has been applied are in wind, solar, pumped hydro, battery energy storage system (BESS), alternate energy, high-medium-low voltage transmission, critical minerals and related infrastructure projects.

Confirming the company’s position as a key supporter of the energy transition, Niche has joined the Clean Energy Council, the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia.

Executive Director – Commercial, Lawrence Smith, said Niche is committed to working with developers to help scale the sector while balancing critical environmental, biodiversity and heritage outcomes.

“We are proud to have contributed our strategic and technical expertise to these projects, helping our energy sector clients make informed decisions underpinned by science and ensuring positive outcomes coexist with efficient project delivery,” said Mr Smith.

“Joining the Clean Energy Council will enable Niche to further contribute our technical experience and expand our impact in the energy sector.”

Niche has delivered consultancy services for a range of large and complex energy projects, including the HumeLink transmission line, one of the country’s most transformative energy infrastructure undertakings, which has just commenced construction.
