Vanessa is an experienced non-executive director with water, energy and sustainability industry experience at both board and executive levels. Her executive experience includes developing strategy, implementing projects, and executing transactions to build business value in transitioning markets such as low emissions energy and hydrogen.
 
Vanessa’s previous executive roles include Climate Change and Sustainability Services Leader and Utilities Leader for a big four professional services firm, Strategy and Business Development lead for an environmental service provider and founding a renewable energy and storage development business. Vanessa’s experience also includes commercial and financial lead roles in significant market reforms in both the water and energy sectors.
 
Vanessa is also a non-executive director of Essential Energy, Sunwater, Eco-Markets Australia and AGL. Vanessa is the energy and water industry expert appointed to a State Government Hydrogen Taskforce. Her pro bono advisory board roles include Centacare (domestic violence and disability support provider), Griffith University Business School, and Cook Shire Council’s Agri. Futures Group.
