Meet the team: Dmitri Medvedko, Associate – Ecology

A great working day involves being out in nature, according to our new Ecology team member. Niche is excited to introduce Dmitri Medvedko, our newest Associate in the Ecology team. Dmitri brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our team, with a background spanning terrestrial ecology and environmental science in general. 
 

Get to know Dmitri

 
Dmitri may call Australia home now, but his journey started in Northern California’s Bay Area. He moved to NSW after he met his, wife almost a decade ago. 
 
From scaling mountains from California’s Mount Dana to Malaysia’s Mount Kinabalu, or strumming tunes on his guitar, Dmitri’s zest for life is infectious. He also enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, spending his mornings honing his skills, when he’s not packing lunchboxes or cooking breakfast for his three young children.
 
If there’s one word to describe Dmitri, it’s cheerful. When he’s not in the field or the office, you’ll find him enjoying quality time with his family, indulging in outdoor adventures, or firing up the barbecue with friends.
 
For Dmitri, a great working day involves being out in nature. With a background in managing habitat restoration projects and environmental aspects of civil construction, Dmitri brings a diverse skill set to his role. Currently, he’s immersed in projects ranging from quarry expansions to exclusion fences, all aimed at empowering his clients to foster positive interactions between society and the natural world.
