News & Insights
Why did you choose your particular career?
Archaeology was something I have been interested in since school. Pretty much as long as I’ve known what an archaeologist does, I’ve known that’s what I wanted to do.

What has your career journey at Niche been like?
I have learned so much and been able to work with some really incredible people. I started out as a Heritage Consultant and have moved up to an Experienced Consultant thanks to the amazing support and opportunities I have had over the years.
What has been your biggest highlight at Niche?
I’ve been able to work on some really great projects that have a really positive impact, such as renewable projects, Cultural Values Assessments, and community-based projects.
What do you love most about working at Niche?
I love the people I get to work with. Being able to work and grow while surrounded by people whose company I genuinely enjoy is something I have always valued. As well as the team within Niche, I have also been able to work with some fantastic clients and groups across Queensland that I have been able to learn so much from.
When you’re not at work, what do you like to do with your time?
When I’m not at work I like to spend time with my family – painting, playing games and going to the museum.
How does Niche help you structure work around your life?
Niche has very flexible working arrangements such as the ability to work from home and set my own hours during the day. This just means I can be home to pick up my son from daycare and work the hours that suit me each day. It really helps me achieve that important balance between work and family life.
How has Niche helped you master your craft?
Niche’s Professional Development and Memberships policy supports the time and costs associated with completing professional development in my field. For me that has included being able to start a Masters degree by supporting some of the time and costs associated with taking the classes.
