Why did you choose your particular career?

My childhood fascination with history and digging in the dirt to uncover lost items, combined with my first-year university studies in Australian history, led me to pursue archaeology as my major and subsequent post graduate studies.

What has your career journey at Niche been like?

Only joining Niche within the last year, I have had the opportunity to be involved in multiple complex and exciting projects, expanding my skill set and working with a supportive and collaborative team. My short time with Niche has been incredibly rewarding and full of growth, and I am excited for the years to come.

What has been your biggest highlight at Niche?

Collaborating with Aboriginal community groups in Northern Queensland to manage cultural heritage values and explore the integration of cultural heritage in mine planning frameworks.

What do you love most about working at Niche?

The dedication to delivering high-quality service and care to both clients and their projects, as well as the focus on maintaining wellbeing and professional development standards for Niche employees. Being part of a Niche also gives me a sense of belonging, being part of a positive, collaborative environment where we can all thrive together.

When you’re not at work, what do you like to do with your time?

When not travelling around the Outback, I enjoy scuba diving exploring the reefs and wrecks along the eastern coast.

Niche offers a solid foundation for work-life balance, emphasising genuine consideration and a deep respect for personal commitments. I have felt truly supported for my personal and professional growth— with the flexibility and encouragement to pursue my master’s degree over the next two years, while also making time for my personal interests.
