Our Impact

  • This number represents the hectares of land we have enabled to be legally conserved in perpetuity. It includes stewardship sites established under the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme or protected through other conservation mechanisms.

     

    Through our long history working in the biodiversity offsetting and natural capital sector, we have been trusted by landholders to ensure their land and its biodiversity is protected for future generations.

  • This number represents the hectares of land and vegetation we have under active management, delivered through our highly-skilled team at Ausecology. This includes sites where we conduct activities such as restoration and active land management activities under state and federal legislation and guidelines.

    Our efforts on these properties are helping to improve the land to allow native vegetation and biodiversity to recover and thrive.

  • Niche acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and are honoured to partner with communities to help respectfully manage their heritage. This number represents the Aboriginal Parties and Traditional Owner groups we have engaged with or consulted as part of delivering our cultural heritage management work across Eastern Australia.

    This number combines Aboriginal Parties in Victoria, Representative Bodies and Traditional Owner groups in Queensland, and Registered Aboriginal Parties in NSW.

  • This number represents trees planted by the Ausecology team as part of their delivery of large-scale land restoration services for conservation, offset and carbon projects – critical for restoring Australia’s nature and biodiversity.

    Tree planting is a specialist capability which involves sourcing and propagating local provenance native species, installing tubestock and then, crucially, maintaining and monitoring establishment success to ensure outcomes are achieved.
