How we’re preparing for the “new normal” in Queensland – an update from Qld regional manager Cameron Harvey.
While we have been relatively lucky in Queensland during 2021, escaping extended lockdowns and experiencing only limited outbreaks of Covid-19 community transmission, new variants and upcoming changes to the Queensland Government’s restrictions to travel, quarantine and borders have the potential to change this as we move into 2022.
“Providing a safe work environment for our staff, to visitors to our offices, to the people we work with in the community, and to our clients, is our top priority.”Cameron Harvey, Qld regional manager
Niche remains very much open for business
Our consultants have certainly been enjoying a very busy period working on some challenging and diverse projects across our state. We want this to remain the case, therefore it cannot just be business as usual!
We take our health and safety obligations very seriously
Providing a safe work environment for our staff, to visitors to our offices, to the people we work with in the community, and to our clients, is our top priority. As a result, we have been watching the situation around the country closely, learning from the experience of others affected in different ways by the pandemic, to ensure the Niche team is agile and ready in Queensland.
Our roadmap follows the latest advice
We have prepared our own Niche Qld Covid-19 roadmap to guide us through an environment where Covid-19 is more prevalent. Our roadmap follows the latest government advice and provides confidence that we are excelling in the management of Covid-19 risks to the health and safety of our people, no matter where they are working across the stat
In all circumstances we will be seeking to limit the risk of creating any chains of transmission through our places of work – be they an office or out in the field – that may lead to unintended or otherwise avoidable exposure to Covid-19.
Keeping informed and in touch
We recommend that our clients and team stay updated with current information from the relevant government departments.
