During National Archaeology Week 2021, Cross River Rail hosted a range of live-streamed talks exploring the many items of archaeological significance that have been uncovered during excavation works for the project, and what they reveal about life in Brisbane at the turn of the 20th century.
The program included Niche’s historical heritage specialist Dr Kevin Rains talking about Chinese history in Brisbane, and an introduction to zooarchaeology from Marc Cheeseman of The University of Queensland, who worked as part of Niche’s team on this project.
