Yogesh is an ecologist specialising in bush regeneration, revegetation and ecological rehabilitation. He has more than ten years’ experience in monitoring, management and planning for bushland restoration projects in the Sydney metropolitan area and across NSW.
Yogesh joined Niche’s multidisciplinary consulting team in August 2019. He is based at our Sydney head office, with frequent fieldwork that has taken him to Western and Northern NSW as well as the Illawarra and Hunter regions in recent months.
Restoration ecology
Yogesh has a strong understanding of vegetation restoration and rehabilitation techniques and shares his knowledge by providing training for land managers and bush regeneration field crews.
He is also skilled in bushland restoration costing for Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessments and Management Plan preparation.

“My goal is to share knowledge with bushland managers and restoration practitioners for effective management of vegetation using principles of restoration ecology,“ says Yogesh.
Yogesh is one of eleven ecologists at Niche who are accredited BAM assessors under NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. He holds accreditation from the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators and a master’s degree in biodiversity conservation.
