To ensure we continue to deliver high quality services to support our clients’ projects, we’re strengthening and expanding our team, and we are pleased to welcome six new heritage consultants.

Josephine Wood – Built Heritage Specialist, Brisbane
Josephine joins Niche’s Brisbane office, adding to our capabilities in built heritage management in the South East Queensland region. Josephine is a built heritage consultant with over 5 years’ experience in private residential, liturgical and commercial architecture. She has worked on a range of projects in the private sector – including urban development projects involving adaptive reuse – many of which were listed on the Queensland State Register and required an understating of the Heritage Act and Burra Charter. Josephine has experience with local and State listed heritage buildings.
Liliana Duran – Senior Built Heritage Consultant, Sydney
Liliana is a built heritage specialist with over 20 years of professional experience in both the public and the private sectors. Liliana has extensive experience preparing comprehensive heritage studies incorporating specialist advice, peer reviews and impact assessments for urban development, transport and civic infrastructure projects. Liliana is a member of Australia ICOMOS with specialist skills in built heritage assessments and Conservation Management Plans.
Ricardo Servin – Historical Heritage Consultant, Sydney
Ricardo has 5 years’ experience as an archaeologist and has gained strong fieldwork experience in both Aboriginal and historical cultural heritage projects across NSW. He is skilled in historical research, survey, excavation, planning and recording. Ricardo has project-managed heritage impact assessments and has supervised the excavation of archaeological sites of both local and State significance.
Sarah McGuiness – Aboriginal Heritage Consultant, Wollongong
Sarah is an archaeologist with experience in Aboriginal and historical archaeology projects. She has worked in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia across a broad range of projects. Sarah has extensive experience with Aboriginal stakeholder consultation, site survey, recording and excavation as well as the composition of archaeological and cultural heritage assessments.
Katherine Day – Aboriginal Heritage Consultant, Sydney
Katherine is a Heritage Consultant with experience in Aboriginal and Historical heritage research and field work, having worked on a number of heritage projects in Sydney, regional NSW and overseas. Katherine also has artefact analysis and archaeobotanical experience, gained from working in museums and universities in NSW and overseas. Katherine has experience with lithic collections and collection management systems, as well as recording, cataloguing and archiving artefacts.
Wade Goldwyer – Heritage Assistant, Sydney
Wade is an Archaeology graduate with experience working in a range of unique archaeological sites in NSW and WA. He has experience in both Indigenous and historical archaeology, in terrestrial and marine environments. Wade has developed archaeological field survey and assessment skills as well as a detailed understanding of cultural heritage management practices. Wade supports the NSW heritage consulting team in his role as technical assistant. Wade is a member of the Australian Archaeological Association.
