Niche is pleased to announce the recent appointment of three new consultants to our growing multidisciplinary team.
Jane Austen joins the team in Queensland. Jane has 13 years’ experience in heritage management including Aboriginal and historic projects, and community consultation. She has recently worked within City of Gold Coast Council’s heritage unit and as a senior heritage planner. Jane has extensive experience in the Gold Coast region, and will support our clients with her comprehensive understanding of state and local heritage legislation, and her collaborative approach to heritage management.
Dr Morgan Disspain, senior heritage consultant, joins Niche in North Coast NSW. Morgan brings specialist skills in icthyoarchaeology, midden analysis, citizen science and geochemistry. Morgan’s 10 years in cultural heritage management have included both academic and consulting experience. Morgan has managed large infrastructure and mining projects, with experience in NSW, QLD and WA. She has published extensively and has received numerous awards for her research, which focuses on the analysis of archaeological fish remains. Morgan presented at last month’s Australian Archaeological Association conference in Auckland on Otoliths in Oceania..
Sarah Hart is a Wollongong-based ecologist with a passion for the natural world. She graduated from James Cook University with a master’s degree in ecology and zoology, and more recently completed a graduate diploma in environmental management from the University of Queensland. Sarah has a background in bush regeneration across rainforest remnants in NSW and coastal dunes in QLD. She has experience in weed identification, flora and fauna assessments and vegetation mapping within NSW.
