Niche Environment and Heritage recently welcomed archaeologist Xavier Carah to the heritage consulting team in Queensland.
Xavier has five years of professional experience, gained as a consultant in the private sector and for the University of Queensland’s Cultural Heritage Unit. He has experience with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage for major infrastructure and development projects.
Xavier’s skills include survey, excavation, post excavation analysis, archaeobotanical recovery and analysis, and community liaison and education. He is a member of the Australian Archaeological Association.
“Xavier’s project experience and thorough knowledge of Queensland’s cultural heritage legislation make him a great addition to the team,” said Cameron Harvey, Niche’s Queensland regional manager.
