At Niche, understanding biodiversity is our speciality and the application of our knowledge to environmental and biodiversity offsets is one of our core areas of business.
Our ecology team includes accredited BioBanking assessors who are experienced in defining environmental offsetting strategies that deliver beneficial and sustainable outcomes with the integrity to satisfy regulatory authorities.
We are therefore proud to be sponsoring next week’s Sydney conference on Biodiversity Offsetting for Mining, Infrastructure and Urban Development.
Niche will be represented at the conference by founding director and ecologist Dr Rhidian Harrington, accredited BioBanking assessor Luke Baker and experienced ecologist Simon Tweed. They will join representatives from mining, urban development and government organisations to examine innovative and strategic approaches to biodiversity offset delivery.
The conference will also address recent changes to biodiversity offset policy, industry approaches to offset assessment and calculation, and strategies to maintain and manage offsets.
Biodiversity Offsetting for Mining, Infrastructure and Urban Development conference takes place on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 July 2015 in Sydney.
